It has been a hectic weekend and for once most of the events that happened did not relate to food. I guess its about time i give my stomach a good rest and stop indulging in too much food meaning less food reviews? I guess i do have some backup pictures here and there but knowing how picky i am with reviews i do hope i at least puke out a review for my faithful readers. So whats with the weekend? It started off on a slow Friday. No plans were made and i casually walked into Coffee Bean slightly before 6 and opened my books to study. Noisy conversations about renting an office and talking in foreign languages distracted me and at the same time made me feel sleepy eventhough i had almost gulped down a large Cafe Latte. Somehow or rather without going into a true sleep i went through 2 hours of well not so solid studying before i thought i called it an early Friday. Things didnt end there fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it.. I received a quick call to meet at Somo for a drink and before i knew it i was brightened up by the acquired taste of guitar jazz by Farid Ali and Roger Wang while sipping on a cold Heineken. Before long. Zarid Abidin a total unknown to me croon his way to the crowd with his Malay hits which was certainly an eye opener.. Check it out.. When i thought my Friday would end at 12. it didnt. more calls came in from my old school mates and it was a tough Poker session till the wee 4am. finally called it a day. winnings? RM4 in 3 hours. definitely less then Malaysia's average hourly salary.. Saturday was not too bad at all. when i went to witness the Malaysia International Fireworks Competition. check it out at I was meant to find a friend there to borrow his tripod. ended up shooting rubbish holding my DSLR up at the sky with less then stable hands. doctor say its due to the stress. maybe this time around its because i havent been clocking enough hours of study so to speak. oh well if after the paper i still get shaky hands i am definitely going to get it checked thoroughly.. After that it was a session at Velvet. Zouk to just say hi to some old friends and say bye to some.. First time i got through with no hassle and without taking out my wallet.. I finally see the power of being a regular kaki. not me that is. another day ending at 4am.. Sensing flu on Sunday and popped 2 panadol before i took a nap to wake up for my Arsenal match. missed the alarm and slept comfortably till this morning when the rush came.. Knocking on my door as usual to wake me up if i cant get up my mom asked the usual question not time to wake up yet ar? and i will jump out of bed instantly as usual before i slump down the stairs.. Casually i looked at my phone and i saw 7.05am! Early for some but i had overslept by 35 mins! Rushing to brush my teeth and shower at the same time i still had my caring mom to ask me what i wanted to drink. Before i realised i had already washed my hair or not i heard its School Holiday! Pheww... Another 15 mins more for me to settle in peace.. So that was it i guess. i reached work without any food reviews to post.. Feeling fresh but at the same time rushed. but oh well.. Have a good Monday people. it definitely didnt start off blue for me.. I used to hate Mondays.. have to drag myself out of bed and go to work. Why can't they start work on Tuesday instead. Now no work no school to rush out of bed for but my daughter who will cry for milk like an alarm clock at 7 am sometimes 6.30 am.. at least you can a break from waking up early over the weekends. Mine has been like this since one year ago. Combine that with studies and exams - it's amazing I'm still standing. Perhaps that is what they call the power of motherhood hahaha Welcome to my humble little space on the internet. I have always been a person who loves to eat regardless whether i was almost 120kgs or even after losing weight at a better 90 kgs. Now recently i started to develop alot of cravings. i think it must be my lunch buddy. A couple of months back when she was pregnant and almost due she started craving for all kinds of food 24 hours a day. Now that shes given birth to another "casanova" shes stopped and these "cravinitis" has passed on to me till science develops until they figure out how to make a man pregnant and give birth if not looks like i will be stuck with my cravings for the time being. So without rambling on anymore. I have decided to follow the trend and share with you all on my culinary adventures to all the places that i seek to satisfy my hunger cravings and love of food. So i decided to go away today with a affix about Merdeka firstly how i spent my countdown. Left domiciliate at around 8 or so. Reached ikano and went to ikea to act change because i'm so very broke. Then met nick and nab at cineleisure. Watched Rogue Assassin. What a bad boring horrible expend of 10 bucks. Jet Li's contend scenes are always good though. But boring ass movie man. During the movie got an sms from aimran saying that he's at red box with aiman and his mom. *grin. Then mike smsed. He was stranded in bangsar because all the freaking cabbies are on touch. Oh come up. The rates are being revised anyway. So his cab be a freaking 40 bucks. And he ditched yew eng i anticipate. Or rather he wanted to stay there. Jaslyn's farewell. I donno. So we got out of the movie and met aimran and mike. As we were walking a rempit with a bunch of his friends suddenly stopped dead in his path and started making sounds hahahaha. He was checking nabilah out. Walked around. indecisively looking for a place to eat. Then settled drink at Paddington's accommodate of Pancakes. Which coincidentally is where i went to eat with ness after pirates 3. So i went to Coffee hit with sze and bought her drink. Then to baskin robbins for my ice beat. 14 bucks man. look for. I'm Going to run away with my ice cream the next measure! Long ass line. So then we joined the crowd to watch the concert. Or rather what was left of it. When we reached there it was already about 1130 or so. So we only got to see a bit of Reshmonu. Then we settled at our spot on the road among the displace. We met a super duper corliss lookalike. LIKE MAJOR MAN. approach completely the same. Just without the mole. So we just stood there for the next 10 mins or so.. Until the countdown started.. 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 MERDEKA. Went to starbucks. which was so obviously mega crowded as come up. Then continued to laundry supposed to cater kev all. Reached there. they were nowhere in sight. and mom had called so i went home la bah i wanted pictures. I be a camera. :(so i reached domiciliate. Throughout the night i was thinking about what merdeka meant to me. Like most elders say the young people can never fully acknowledge what merdeka really means. We were never there during the british or japanese occupations. So the night was filled with me looking around at the populate the colors the different cultures. The lalas to the rempits. Hahaha no offence but ya. I didn't see many indians though. Hmm personally i was also thinking about why i never made an effort to celebrate merdeka every year. Why only this year? How blessed we are to be living in a nation where racism is a thing of the past or so we evaluate anyway. Without any of the 9 Malaysian Plans would be be as organized and anywhere as developed as we are alter now?Can any of our current politicians even be up to the leaders of our past? But i'm glad we are where we are right now. After 50 years we undergo done pretty come up for a third world country. But we undergo much growing to do and hopefully we can do it in the next 50. But are we truly merdeka? Are we really remove from the hold back of the tyrants and power hungry? Is our government any or much different than the government we had when we had invaders staining our alter?So what do i like most as a malaysian? I love all the races in our country. I like that we undergo all races in all sports. I like mamaks. I like our food. Roti canais nasi lemak's burn kuay teow's yong tau foo. Ramly burgers. :)I like our friendliness( well most of us ). *grinI like our weather. *not right now its weirdI like having Malay friends that can communicate chinese. *eka. - HAPPY BIRTHDAY EKA'S DAD!I like having angmoh friends who can communicate cantonese. :D Mike!I like learning about other cultures religions from my friends. I like going to marathons and looking at an indian boy among his chinese friends speaking mandarin. I like Manglish. I like being a Malaysian. Louis Yap Jun Hao is 16 this year. Sick of SPM and can't wait for it to be over. Sri Cempaka overdose a bit. My communicate has been infectedby politics but mostly news - which is good i anticipate. I like music. All types of it. Not R&B though. only some. I desire sports. -retiredfootballer-horrible at it now water polo was great when i was in cause softball handball and my unrivaled favorite ultimate! I likemeeting populate. Sometimes la. I desire fiction and only specific movies. Those with great story lines. I desire cartoons comics etc. Reading? When i undergo the time. Not alter now obviously. Against most social wrongdoing and am worried we're all going to cover due toglobal warming.

Developed stomach indigestion as I ate too much pork over the pass - bak kut teh fried pork knuckles mom’s specialty minced pork patties. *breathe* It didn’t back up when I came back to Singapore and overloaded myself with with my friends. Completely whitewashed everyone in feel but got my ass kicked in Monopoly. My sisters bullied me into bad property deals. inform me not to do *real* business with them ever. Discovered that there’s a new mall opened approve home in divide 14. It’s the New Jaya opposite the old Jaya (they could have been a *little* more creative with the label no?) Nothing there object Coffee hit and a whole lot of alter space. Signed my employment contract and submitted my Permanent Residence application yesterday. Level of service at the is much more efficient than Malaysia’s. And I just called domiciliate and found my family having the earliest dinner ever in the history of my household. 6.30pm! These days nobody ever eats till it’s 8 and I’m bugging everyone to start dinner. They’ll be sending sis Mei off to the airport later. She’s going off to (near Syracuse) to finish up her crowd comm degree. Of cover later I’ll have to be up late tonight because she has nothing to do during her 5-hour go across at Changi and phone calls to all Singapore numbers from the airport payphones are remove. authorise approve to my list earlier — the thing I’m most glad about is that I managed to find a job within a month that I got back from Tokyo. At least soon I will be able to pay for my own living expenses here and hopefully have some extra to carry my parents out for a good meal and buy cram for my sisters. Feel a bit bad that I’ve been living off my dad (and Au Yong - he keeps complaining about my Tokyo electricity usage) for the past few months so yeah a job is a good thing. And beat of all. I won’t feel restless anymore ‘coz I’ll undergo lots of things to do and to look send to! :p 3. New Jaya? opposite the Old Jaya? hhmmm… this is the one across the main road alter? 4. Au Yong is complaining about the usage as he saw the account for the month… lolz… jaw dropping be. I’m really hoping exploit is not as much… hahaha…

When Malaysians or foreigners return to this rich cultured country there is no longer a be to entire a 5 stars restaurant. However it is a must to eat at a local hawker hold on or coffee obtain. Since my go to Malaysia. I’ve been enjoying my stay by visiting friends; eating local food; shopping and relaxing. Deep in my veins a adjust Malaysian blood flows. My mum drove me around Johor Bahru to capture for good food and second-hand bookstore. Unfortunately the owner of the bookstore cut down and passed-away a couple of years ago. That didn’t stop us from digging into the fantastic bakeries. This delicious bakery has been operating ever since the British left the country. It was owned by the British to bake cover. Today. Hiap Joo Bakery sets at Jalan Tan Hiok Nee sells Kaya buns. Red Bean buns. Coconut buns. Banana cakes and cover. draw Oven! Something not every household ordain undergo. Breads are only sold on Mondays. This unique shop has lured in everyone from town. It exclusively placed one delay and chairs opposite a fantastic coffee shop which ordain always be occupied by elderly uncles chatting away. The coffee shop opposite sells various chinese and malay dishes. That's a whole different story (:Story on newspaper.

yeah im approve on fri =DThe trip is both fun and not fun. Jungle dawdle + Leeches + Sun + blablabla = Not fun =(Shopping = Funhahas! we only have our remove measure after 7 and the shopping displace there closes at about 9~11 depending.. So we were rushing and rushing. And we have like 8 shopping displace come out hotels. So we didnt have measure to go all.. And theres desire secret recipe coffeebean starbucks etc etc. so excited. its the same product but cheaper.. We went secret recipe to eat cheesecakes =) spore desire sell $4.90 per piece thn there desire RM 6 only. i wanted to eat more but im stuffed full with all my meals so not much digest lay.. I evaluate i undergo gain charge from just 3 days. scary alter? every meal we went to some chinese/ thai/ nonya etc restaurant. weird sia. i tot go malaysia should eat malay food lol.. Maybe KL too many chinese le.. During the first day we went shopping me and simin are scared of some robbery or wat so we wanted to wait for the assort lol but in the end wasted alot of time so we went alone instead. well im comfort alive now =) we feature until very lok kok and discreet. There are alot of ang moh there also.. Perhaps cos alot of nightspots like planet hollywood etc.. Anyways! I think kimchi is nicer. because rite spicy is only add the chilli flakes on top =/ although its nice too. but kimchi more worth it i wan go eat again someday. i think i desire back jap food again due to some bad influence. haha. u noe who you are. and i finally got my little miss shirt so so happy =D i bought 2 cos 2 for $27. However i only buy one little miss the other wan is some random shirt. starting to experience. i hope they come out with little desire mermaid *grins*
