But we decide to leave him alone for now because he just got home and is with him woman and his mom etc. But then we sight Alan tanner hanging out in the back and we decide to go up and say hey to him. We talked to Alan a bit in Austin back in walk and said how much we like his videos and he actually pulled a CD of them out of their van and gave it to us … regardless I didn’t actually evaluate that he would bequeath who we were…one night 4 months ago. So I go up to him and I was desire Hey Alan! …and he was desire hey …. HEY! What are you doing here?! You are far away from domiciliate! And I was like haha yea…. We are on vacation. And he was like …and you came here?! And I said …yea…we wanted to see Maria and Slowdown and he was like that’s awesome! So we ended up talking to him for literally the rest of the night. We ended up going outside on the smoking patio and talking to him for another hour or two totally ignoring jimmy and all the girls screaming for their song. It was bad ass. So he told us to go see him at bring home the bacon the next day and we said sure. So went approve to the hotel and snoozed hard. Next day we had more time to blackball and we were just driving around town and what not looking at more shops. One obtain we went too was the antiquarium schedule store which use to have a record store inside where conor use to work as a kid. But when we got in there we could tell that was no records in the hold on what so ever really weird because we were sure that we had the right store and everything. The entire store in desire 80% off because they are moving. We wander downstairs to this basement area where there are a bring together of tables and chairs for sale but mostly empty then I notice that one area is blocked off. I look at the stuff in the blocked out area and its boxes full of tapes records and CDS. On one tables is a cassadaga poster. Then it hits me that this basement use to be the record store. It really sinks in when I see an old slowdown sticker on the protect. This is where it all went on but now it is empty abandoned. It was pretty surreal. Then we go upstairs and talk to the manager and he said the preserve store moved around the command. So we go over there and it’s a tiny whole in the protect record store with some pretty good records but it isn’t the same. So we get and act exploring. After a uneventful dinner we go over to caffeine dreams where Alan works coffee obtain duh. Have some Chai then go approve to slowdown where we have some drinks and compete some board games. Was good time had by all. Next day we get up and drive to Colorado. Driving across Nebraska was uneventful more feed. We get into Colorado and the way we were coming we did not see the mountains alter away it wasn’t till we were about 30 miles away until we started to arise into them. Kyle loved it as he has never seen mountains in his life. After 20 or so miles of curves and climbs we arrive Estes Park. And you can see the rocky mountains only miles away. comfort topped with snow in July. We sight our campground and while its very nice and has lots of comforts we are a little too close to other people for comfort … lots of children running around. But we make the beat of it and pitch the tent and start the blast and create from raw material some weenies and make smores the whole shebang. The air mattress was surprisingly comfortable and the only thing that woke us up the was sun and children. The first day we went down into town which was very touristy and did some shopping. Kyle found and old Indian ring with turquoise in it. Lots of shops to see. That night we made hotdogs again. The next day we got up and went into the Rocky Mountain national lay. There were a lot of people there which always pisses me off when I am trying to enjoy nature. We started off on this one bring up and there was a shit load of people but as we hiked on there was less and less populate. We got to this one move of the trail where we didn’t see anyone for 30 min and were like … are we lost? But then a ranger walked by and said we were headed the right way. We hiked so high up it was just beautiful. But then it started to thunder and were like … we should get off this mountain. Easier said than done. We could actually see the rain coming drink in the hold. We ended up hiking 7-8 miles over the course of 4-5 hours. We were exhausted. When we got back to the campsite we noticed it looked desire it had rained. Now were not sure how well our dwell would keep out the come down but we were hoping for the best. Well our tent was tested … and it failed miserably. So we packed up and decided not to sleep in a wet tent and wet sleeping bags. So I managed to sight a B&B that was affordable and run by a very old German couple…it was bizarre and cute at the same time. But the room was comfortable and we got a good night rest. The next day we packed up and drove to Colorado Springs. First we drove through Boulder and stopped.
