"Ron Paul and The Boston Tea Party; 12-16-2007" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-12-13 15:06:42

The next big fundraiser for Ron Paul's campaign is another totally grassroots effort set to commemorate the anniversary of the on December 16th. 2007. This one desire the is looking for 100,000 donors to pitch in $100 a piece in an effort to raise $10,000,000 for the race. It may be a lofty goal but given the additional preparation measure and press coverage created by the 5th of November record-breaker and Dr. Paul's grassroots network. I don't think it is an unreasonable one. One of the most important things to note about the Paul Campaign is the steadily increasing number of new donors. Currently there are nearly 10,000 people signed up at the official Tea celebrate site. During the 5th of November fundraiser 36,672 unique donors raised more than $4.2 million dollars; over 20,000 of them were first time donors. That is nearly two thirds of contributors. During casual observation of the transactions data at it looks as though new donors could be nearly 35,000 of the 69,769 unique donors to go out in accommodate Four. This realization that the number of new donors is a powerful indicator has made me end to act a pledge to encourage new populate to get involved in the race. I be to try to get some micro-donations going for Ron. It may sound silly but there are huge amounts of cater in systems of thousands of small monetary transactions. This is the same concept that built powerhouses like MasterCard. E-Bay and PayPal on the tiny percentages of thousands of larger purchases. The same could be said of voters making a rest for a candidate with a small donation. I know that there are probably a lot of RP supporters out there that don't have $100 to gift on December 16th so I furnish a and ask for a little help. I have already committed to donating $100 dollars on December 16th. 2007 to the Tea celebrate 07 drive and I undergo donated on four other occassions since the beginning of October including The 5th of November and Veterans Day. I am committed to give Dr. Paul every possible chance to win the Republican nomination. Honestly I am feeling a little bit strapped but I will gift an additional $200 to the Tea Party if I can get at least 1,000 new contributors to donate at least $5 to the campaign on December 16th. Please don't participate in this if you undergo already pledged to donate $100 to the Tea celebrate effort or are planning on donating to the race before that measure. The object of the pledge is to help boost the number of new donors on the 16th. With any luck the media and the Republican celebrate will pay attention to the number of new supporters as come up as the cash this time around and we can finally shed the spectre of the imaginary spambots. WeirdHere are enjoin links to my Pledge and the Tea celebrate 07 site;

The guys behind the November 5th online fundraising effort for Ron Paul are at it again and this time it’s set for On December 16th. 1773. American colonists dumped tea into the Boston Harbor to protest anoppressive tax. This December 16th. American citizens will dump millions of dollars into theRon Paul presidential campaign to protest the oppressive and unconstitutional inflation tax(which has enabled a flawed foreign policy a costly war and the sacrificingof our liberties here at home). OK… it’s not going to be a tea party… it’s going to be a work party. And yes. Steve and his group are from Boston. Maybe they’ll have some tea with Brian after work is finished each day. They’ll be staying at the orphanage for 3 nights and working during the day. I’m sure they’ll find time for a cup of tea. I have confirmed with Steve B that he and his other 3 fellow travelers undergo received donations of $1,000 to pay for the fence replacement project at the orphanage. Steve his sister Kristen his friend Roger and Roger (Roger’s son) will be at the hogar very soon. They’ll be building picket fences and their $ should pay for the materials and supplies. We are so thankful that Steve and his friends decided to work at the orphanage and initiate this task. The fences needed to be done. I was contacted by Steve and it all fell into place. Steve said it wasn’t hard to raise the $1000 at all. He said he got donations of $1000 in about 5 minutes. Now that’s what we like to comprehend. Thanks in advance to our 4 Boston Tea celebrate workers. I’m looking send to seeing the new fences in late December.

"The Great Playa Tea Party 2008" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-22 00:31:47

So I was thinking about the furnish "the American Dream" and how far recent politics have taken us from the ideals our forefathers espoused. And then I thought of how Samuel Adams and others fought against an oppressive King George with the Boston Tea celebrate and how Thomas Jefferson is quoted as having said (or written). "God forbid we go twenty years without a revolution." And I thought again about the theme. "The American conceive of" and how that conceive of is being actively destroyed by the current administration. Could it be possible for a group of us to have a Boston Tea Party or a Playa Tea Party in Black move back and forth City next year to show that Our American Dream would include holding accountable an administration that has no regard for the Constitution of the United States nor the ideals espoused within nor the tradition of moving toward said ideals rather than away from them? What would it be like? Would it include participants dressed as colonial era revolutionaries disguised as Native Americans? Obviously we undergo no ocean to throw the tea into so I accept ideas. Anyone who feels inspired by such an idea gratify feel free to articulate freeform ideas in this thread. Much appreciated. Well what's our current "tea" in this culture?What products are we addicted to in the USA? What are they charging super-high taxes and huge profit margins on? What product exploits others the most?OILAnd so how do we spill oil all over the Playa? By burning thousands of gallons of it like we just don't care. The sooner it runs out the sooner we'll have to face facts phase out of our car addiction connect in community change our own food and live the life we all know we want. This was the idea that got me excited about burning man again. It's not about politics or specifics it's about an idea and that's saying "I undergo a say in my life and I'm making full use of that right." That was what "no taxation without representation" was about at its' core out and that is what taking back our country and taking back our festival is about. A "tea party" held on the playa relative to the "Boston Tea celebrate" as a revolutionary catalyst would almost certainly have the cause of a fart in lay. No one would notice. Do it at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC and you might undergo more of an effect. Take it to the mother fucker's face day in and day out maybe you'll make a dent. Do it in the middle of nowhere surrounded by a choir of the converted and you'll just be another "performance" cloying for attention. Hmmm great idea!My declaration is more oriented towards the BMORG. I don't think of them as facist or change surface greedy just not very good listeners who have allowed themselves to go into the confine that most movements or great ideas fall into. So. I'm going to say my independence of the BMorg and use their infrastructure to do my own thing. What that is. I don't experience yet.

To answer your challenge. Eddie. No. That is not what I am saying. If you look at my affix that's not what I said at all. convey you for telling me what I meant. I'm really just a girl and don't know how to say exactly what I be to say without a big strong man to tell me what I really meant. convey you. ordain you take out my garbage for me too? *bat*bat* Are you saying that it's "not cool" for people to affix from the playa itself? And if so why not?I'm sure the guy might undergo "given the event a much-needed impel in the ass." I don't know. I've never been. It's just too easy for me to talk myself out of going to a place surrounded by 37,000 posers of the weekend warrior variety. I undergo succeeded in doing so for the past 9 years. There are probably a be of only 3000 truly remove radicals who participate in the event. I don't desire those odds. But I have a decent sized group of friends who are there as we communicate who be among the aforementioned 3000. I'm pretty sure not one of them paid $200 + to go to an event to watch someone's premeditated destruction of something that is meaningful to them. Lest you construe: his act did not directly hurt or injure me in anyway or even alter me feel bad. Indirectly however it affects me because there are a be of populate out there whom I absolutely love and love who were possibly adversely affected by the actions of one cozen. Let me rephrase my mention since you apparently missed the point completely and choose of cut and pasted your own meaning onto my words: What this guy did was act a mean-spirited act in the label of mean-spiritedness. This act probably deeply affected thousands of populate. It was not a "complain," nor was it "genius." Unless he was a stowaway he paid to get in. He fed the very forge that he attempted to undo with his act. Um.. yeah.. way to complain. Brilliant. Are you saying that any random person has the right to fuck up other people's lives or enjoyment of something because they think they undergo "something to say" or a point to be? Is the Individual more important than the assort? By this logic those assholes who pulled Reginald Denny out of his truck and defeat him nearly to death during the LA riots were just giving... society a "much needed kick in the ass," right? ingeminate for the cops who defeat the shit out of Rodney King. Ditto for taggers. I could continue this random enumerate but I've got other inform to do and hopefully you get what I'm saying. Without rules or structure or a schedule there is chaos. This society -- and maybe humanity in general is too immature to command true chaos. I should think that would be evident to a big strong smart man desire yourself. Or maybe you were not around in 1992 during the LA riots. Or during the rolling blackouts in the late 90's. Or didn't watch the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. In my world this write of act is NOT authorise. End of story kaiya Bliss:Out of respect for him and because I don't know either the back-story the real story or the details. I chose to allow his friends and family to create this very important dialog if they so chose. That way the rest of us could send out change healing energies to him and to those he left behind. I wish him and them warmth like and calm comfort. Bon voyage to him on this new adventure. At the time of my original post about the angry little advance there was scant little reliable information about this air. Since I did not wish to act in any uninformed ill-informed sensationalist "oh what a compel" banter about it. I chose to post on a different totally unrelated topic of my choice. He only lost his life if this was an accident / experiment gone do by. Otherwise he took his own life. There's a difference. If so it was his life and therefore his choice. Perhaps it was an accomplishment for him. Perhaps his choice provided him with a decide of control over some internal wrestling match. Perhaps.. into infinity. This is all just speculation on my part -- and I am sure you are also just.. speculating. advance to the point. I believe it VERY disrespectful to him and to his loved ones to carry him up in a Totally Unrelated Thread as an "also-ran." You are not the first person to do so but I very deliberately ignored mention of it when the first person brought this up hoping that it would prevent this air from becoming a footnote to a Totally Unrelated Thread. I know that were I in his inner-circle. I'd be pissed about it. * I * understand that a frat-boy type adorn and an apparent suicide should not share the same thread. You on the other hand in response to said apparent suicide "do not understand how more important is the early combustion of the man is to a life that saw no inform of living...." Let me clarify things a bit for you: One has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the other. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't accept you were acquainted with him. It is only your opinion that this loss of life was sad or senseless and that this guy "saw no inform of living." I accept it MUCH more allot for his circle of friends and family to address him in their own way rather than random strangers making wild speculations. I wish his friends and family forgive me for having to have in mind their loved one in an attempt to crush more speculative gossip and thereby redirect this thread to its original purpose. Dear loved ones please accept my sincerest apologies for this and my warmest wishes for your emotional recovery and healing beat,kaiya Wow! Melodrama! To even bring up Katrina and the LA Riots to alter a point about an icon burning... Is BM about an effigy? Do populate 'pay' all that money and put out all that effort just to destroy an effigy? Does this really fuck up someone's life? Not much of a life. I'd say. I can see what he did as a statement for populate to divorce themselves from the icon and focus on the adjust meaning of being there. BM can come about without the effigy and it seems that what BM once was is desire dead anyway. The effigy no longer has the meaning it once did other than to let populate delude themselves about who they really are and what they are really doing with their lives by suspending reality for one week. .. and yes artists DO undergo the right to shake things up and affect the alleviate zone be iconoclasts (breaking or in this case burning the icon). What world this world be without the rebels those willing to throw a Boston Tea celebrate? We would never wake up to our treachery. Isn't that in the original spirit of BM? Breaking up the status quo? Making a radical statement? Being unorthodox?populate communicate about BM as is if it's the only thing that matters in this world and THAT is far more destructive than burning an effigy off plan. Good day late to the discussion! (Quelquechose)Pleasure to meet you!I alter my points as I see fit. Thank you for noticing. But I can put it in simpler terms if you wish. go me: Let's say you are in a movie theatre the lights undergo gone down the previews are over. "the audience is listening," the little enter can guy has done his snoopy move across the check. The person sitting behind you is comfort chattering incessantly on her cell phone. The opening credits are complete and the movie is starting. What do you do? I am quite certain -- in all honesty that most folk would not rely on affect hippie logic and displace the "What-world-this-world-be-without-the-rebels" card. As an artist. I evaluate that he could have probably devised a more effective way to rage against.
