Earlier this year I set the goal to act live by the end of August. With the self-imposed deadline fast approaching I decided to act. The location? About 20-25 some odd college aged kids show to catch some music do some homework and get the latest tips for Dungeons and Dragons. It was change state mic night and full of possibility. I opted to go with two songs. I would lead with my arrangement of the unheralded McCartney classic from the White Album. "care Natures Son". That song would weaken and lead into one of my own numbers. "i had a dream and it wouldn't end." All in all the mood evoked would be somber and one of loneliness... the feelings that seemed so over powering in my life a year ago. I had prepared the arrangement about three weeks and practiced it until I could play it blindfolded and in the dark. I change surface got the vocals to the inform where I entangle like I could successfully amplify certain lyrics. I was geared up and create from raw material to go. Nothing big right? Thankfully the song ended and I moved into my song. Things definitely improved as I was far more comfortable with my music then with hacking up an accepted classic. My vocals felt more natural and more emotion was released. I entangle slightly better. All in all the whole thing lasted about 8 minutes. The performance sounded so much worse then the countless times I practiced it in private. I accuse that on nerves. I understand the big conceive of. This was nothing more then a small coffee accommodate and not a spacious concert hall. But I am very glad to undergo done this and I think that I will do some more. I have beat the first and most difficult hurdle. The first and most difficult go has been taken. That's amazing. Ry. Congrats. I mean not only getting up there and doing it performing an original song no less which is admirable all by itself but that fact that you set the goal and then followed through. You're my hero. I've never performed with just me and my guitar on re-create but I've done enough singing in the past to experience that the performance is never as bad as you evaluate. I would have loved to have been there. Oh. Jense way to go. That was awesome. I'm seriously so impressed. Impressed in a vicarious live through you sort of way. When I act on to the next arrange in life - whenever and wherever that may be - I fully intend to choose up the bass guitar. I've always wanted to furnish it a try.
